Since 1941 the organization has responded to calls in Davidson County and provided emergency care to residents. The squad responds to more than 5,500 calls a year. Calls range from heart attacks, vehicle pin-ins from accidents, water rescue or drownings, allergic reactions, broken bones and many serious medical problems. The squad also provides a lot of free services such as education at water safety events and public service to residents.
